Meet the Practitioners

Jon Mays

Jon is an expert at being human, with over 48 years of lived experience to prove it. He spent a decade leading at one of the largest churches in the world, but what truly shaped him was making a mess of his own life, experiencing true grace, and learning to love himself and others through it all.

Jon believes life itself is the greatest teacher—if you know how to listen. Inspired by the wisdom of Richard Rohr & Alan Watts, Jon isn’t here to sell you anything, change you, or recruit you. Instead, he shares his lived experiences and the insights he's found helpful along the way, hoping they might refresh fellow travelers on their journey.

Matt Tecmire

Matt is passionate about building strong relationships and serving others with integrity and heart. He believes in experiencing God through both the beauty of nature and the connections we form with others. With a deep love for all spiritual journeys, Matt enjoys learning about the experiences of others and how faith shapes their lives.

He is dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged in their spiritual walk. Whether through leadership, mentoring, or simply lending a helping hand, he seeks to create meaningful connections that inspire growth and community.

Outside of church, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with his wife and three children—Gigi, Junie, and Shepherd—who keep him on his toes and remind him daily that order and calm are myths. He also loves a good conversation over coffee, listening to Rage Against the Machine (often while pretending he's still young enough for a mosh pit), and finding new ways to serve his family and community.

Andrew Pearson

With more than 12 years of leadership experience in public and private sectors, Andrew, or "The Protagonist," as he likes to call himself, has learned that he is only the main character in his own life and that it is okay to walk alongside others - at their own pace - in their own story.

He is passionate about helping individuals pursue an inner life and is daily compelled by Richard Rohr's timeless wisdom which suggests that "most people have to hit some kind of bottom before they can even start the real spiritual journey. Up to that point, it’s mostly religion."

Audi Day

While she’s an Alabama native, Audi has called Oklahoma home for over a decade.  She and her partner have put down roots raising five children and a few bonus kids along the way making their family tree delightfully unconventional- part maze, part masterpiece. As a former pastor turned homeschool mom and business owner, Audi is deeply passionate about bringing heaven to earth and fostering connection with other humans. When she is not wrangling kids or brainstorming new ideas, you will find her at the piano, lost in a good book, or sharing a laugh over a hot chai latte. Wherever you find her, she is working to live life with intention, meaning, and a lot of laughter.

Ben Freeman

Ben is a facilitator of sounds and silence at The Good, devoted to the practice of seeking and asking big questions. With a 25-year career as a professional musician, Ben’s talents as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist have taken him around the globe, enriching his role as a practitioner of centering through sound. His extensive experience as a worship leader and touring musician laid the foundation for his current work. About a decade ago, Ben began a transformative journey of faith, stripping away inherited beliefs to build a foundation rooted in Jesus’s teachings. Now, he channels that passion into helping others find a common wavelength during Monday night gatherings at The Good, where he leads centering practices that foster connection and community.
